Hohoe United have been promoted to the Ghanaian top-flight for the first time in the club’s history after recording an impressive 1-3 win away against former Premier League side Accra Great Olympics on the final day of the 2024/25 Access Bank Division One League.

This was achieved through the club’s consistency and commitments. They recorded the most wins (23), (D3, L4), earning the highest number of points in the Division (72). United were formidable at home turf with a 100 percent win record and the second strongest side on the road (W8, D3, L4), scoring league-high 57 goals and conceding 23 – the fourth least in the campaign.

Debutants Port City FC also had a fantastic season, securing the second position with 67 points, five points behind league leaders Hohoe United, while former Premier League side Okwawu United finished third with True Democracy in the fourth position accumulating 46 points from 30 league matches.

Akosombo Kings Palace FC, Akim Oda Kotoku Royals, and Akatsi All Stars were relegated to the Division Two league after failing to maintain their spots with poor performances. Akatsi All Stars recorded the least points across all the three Zones (16), scoring 24 goals and conceding the second-most goals in the league (75).
