2024-25 FIH Pro League: The Indian women’s hockey team is all set to take on China in what is their penultimate match of the 2024-25 FIH Pro League at the Ernst Reuter Sportfeld in Berlin on Saturday.
Glued to the bottom of the table with just nine points in 14 matches, Salima Tete and co are in the danger zone. They trail the eighth placed England by a point and are in danger of being relegated from the FIH Pro League.
This makes the clash against China a must win for the women in blue. If they slip up even slightly, they might have to bid adieu to the Pro League. It could prove to be a massive blow to coach Harendra Singh, who took over the team last year after they failed to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
