The Indian women’s hockey team will take on Wales in their next Pool B fixture at the FIH Hockey World Cup Qualifiers 2026 at the G. M. C. Balayogi Hockey Ground in Hyderabad.
India will be eager to return to winning ways after their intense 2–2 draw against Scotland. Despite taking the lead through Navneet Kaur and Sunelita Toppo, the hosts were forced to settle for a point after Scotland equalised in the second half. The Indian side, however, showed promising attacking play and will be looking to sharpen their finishing in the upcoming match.
The hosts began their campaign strongly with a convincing 4–0 win over Uruguay and have already demonstrated their ability to dominate possession and create scoring opportunities. With strong support from the home crowd in Hyderabad, India will aim to convert their chances and maintain control against Wales.
