FIFA Women’s Football Campaign 2025 concludes in Koforidua

The second edition of the FIFA Women’s Football Campaign in Koforidua, Eastern Region, came to a thrilling conclusion after a two-day tournament featuring 320 basic schoolgirls from the region.

The competition, held at Koforidua Technical University, showcased the talents of young female footballers.

In the quarterfinals, RIIS Presby “A” thrashed Wesley Methodist “B” 4-1, while Asokore SDA Demo “C” edged out Nsukwao M/A Presby Pri in a nail-biting penalty shootout (12-11) after a goalless draw.

Akwadum Islamic Basic and St Dominic R/C Primary “B” also secured semifinal spots with convincing wins. In the semifinals, Asokore SDA Demo “C” faced Akwadum Islamic Basic, while St Dominic R/C Primary “B” beat RIIS Presby “A” 1-0.

The final match between St Dominic R/C Primary “B” and Asokore SDA Demo “C” ended 1-1 after full time, but Asokore SDA Demo “C” emerged victorious, winning 3-2 in a penalty shootout.
