The 2026 GFA Elite U15 Boys Championship came to an exciting conclusion on Wednesday as the Regional Select Side and the Elite Academy Select Side played out a thrilling 2-2 draw in a ceremonial exhibition match at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.

The showcase fixture brought together the best talents identified during the championship, with the Regional Select Side comprising the finest players from the participating regional teams, while the Elite Academy Select Side featured standout performers from the three elite academies.

The Elite Academy Select Side made a bright start and broke the deadlock inside the opening eight minutes with a well-worked goal. However, the Regional Select Side responded strongly and restored parity before halftime, ensuring the two teams headed into the break level.

The second half continued at an entertaining pace, with both coaches making several changes to give more players the opportunity to showcase their abilities. The Regional Select Side took the lead in the 34th minute after a fine attacking move, seemingly putting themselves on course for victory.
