The much-anticipated Elite U-15 Boys Colts Championship kicked off in style at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, producing exciting football, goals, and dramatic penalty shootouts on Match Day 1. Young talents from across the regions displayed their skills, determination, and passion, setting the tone for a competitive tournament.
In Group A, GFA Elite Academy Kumasi began strongly with a 2-0 win over Northern Region, while Greater Accra edged Western Region 1-0 in a closely contested game. Volta Region and Upper East played out a 2-2 draw, but it was Upper East who triumphed 4-3 on penalties to secure vital points. Over in Group B, Ashanti Region defeated Upper West 4-2 in an entertaining clash, as Eastern Region beat GFA Elite Academy Bolga 4-3 on penalties after a goalless draw. Brong Ahafo Region rounded off the day with a 2-0 victory over Central Region.
The opening round of fixtures not only highlighted the abundance of talent at this level but also gave fans a glimpse of the future stars of Ghanaian football.
