Twenty (20) young referees from the flagship Catch Them Young Refereeing Policy have been selected to officiate at the upcoming Elite U15 Boys Colts Championship, scheduled for August 25 – 31, 2025, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, Prampram.

The selected officials comprise 10 center referees and 10 assistant referees, with each of the 10 football regions contributing two referees—a center and an assistant. This ensures nationwide representation and gives promising referees the opportunity to gain hands-on experience at one of the country’s premier youth tournaments.

The decision forms part of our long-term plan to nurture young referees by providing them with exposure at high-profile youth competitions. The initiative, which continues to produce talented officials, is aimed at building a strong pipeline of referees who can progress to the elite level of Ghana football and beyond.

By involving young referees in such tournaments, we hope to not only sharpen their technical and practical skills but also instil the values of integrity, discipline, and consistency that are crucial in modern refereeing.

The Catch Them Young referees have become a regular feature in several competitions including the Division One League Super Cup, the Regional Division Two League games as well as the maiden edition of the Elite Boys and girls Championships.

Their inclusion in these competitions reaffirms our commitment to grassroots football development.
