FC AshantiGold’04 have opened a five-point lead at the top of the Zone Two table after defeating Ebony FC 4-2 in an entertaining six-goal thriller at Gyamfi Park in Bekwai. The emphatic victory marked their 14th win of the season after 22 Matchdays. The league leaders have now accumulated 46 points so far this season.

Meanwhile, Ebusua Dwarfs failed to return to winning ways for the fourth time in their last five league matches after being held to a frustrating 0-0 draw by struggling Soccer Intellectuals. The former Premier League side dominated large spells of the game but were unable to convert their chances. The result leaves Ebusua Dwarfs five points behind the league leaders.

Elsewhere, Nsuopun Fidelity FC remain third on the table despite suffering a 2-1 home defeat to new entrants Police National in Dominase on Sunday. Mohammed Sulley opened the scoring for Police National in the 39th minute, but Osei Kofi responded with a fine finish five minutes later to level matters for Nsuopun Fidelity before halftime. After the break, Sulley struck again in the 47th minute to complete his brace and secure the victory. The impressive win lifts Police National out of the relegation zone with 24 points.

Here are the results in Zone Two:
