FC AshantiGold ’04 tightened their grip on the top spot in Zone Two with a hard-fought 1–0 victory over key title rivals Nsuopun Fidelity FC in a keenly contested encounter at the Len Clay Sports Stadium. A cagey first half ended goalless as both sides squandered gilt-edged chances, but Gerard Owusu proved decisive late on, firing home the winner in the 85th minute. The win ended AshantiGold ’04’s two-game winless and scoreless run (D1, L1).  The league leaders now sit on 27 points after 13 matches this season.

Sefwi All Stars FC continued to apply pressure at the summit of Zone Two after claiming their eighth win of the campaign with a deserved 1–0 victory over New Edubiase United on Sunday.

Okrah Ebenezer broke the deadlock in the 66th minute to seal all three points. The result sees Sefwi All Stars FC close the gap to just one point behind leaders FC AshantiGold ’04.

Former Premier League side Ebusua Dwarfs maintained their impressive away form with a crucial 1–0 victory over newly promoted Ebony FC at the Mohammed Kamil Arena in Offinso on Saturday. It was their fourth away win of the season, cementing their status as the best travelers in Zone Two so far.

Emmanuel Osei struck the decisive goal in the 73rd minute to secure the points for Dwarfs. Despite the loss, Ebony FC’s Fadil Rahman Yusif was named Player of the Match. Ebusua Dwarfs now move to 23 points and occupy fifth place on the Zone Two league table.
