Chairman of the Elite U15 Inter-regional tournament, Eugene Nobel, officially welcomed teams participating in this year’s competition at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence.

He assured the teams of a well-organized tournament and massive support for the young female athletes as they strive to excel and make their mark in the football world.

“Today, we gather for the FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS) Talent Hunt Tournament, a platform designed to unearth and nurture young football talents. This initiative aims to provide a competitive environment where aspiring athletes can showcase their skills, technique, and passion for the game. The tournament structure prioritizes individual potential, focusing on showcasing players’ talents rather than just winning or losing matches.”

“As we witness the next generation of football stars, let’s remember that this tournament is not just about competition; it’s about development, growth, and nurturing young talent. Let’s support these young athletes as they strive to excel and make their mark in the football world.

“To the players, I say, may your passion, skill, and sportsmanship shine through. To the spectators, let’s cheer with joy, respect, and kindness. Together, let’s make this tournament a celebration of unity, teamwork, and the beautiful game.” In attendance was Evelyn Nsiah Asare, Vice Chairperson of the committee.

The championship is expected to serve as a vital platform for talent identification, offering budding female footballers the opportunity to be scouted for future national teams while gaining valuable competitive exposure.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA), in partnership with FIFA, is committed to finding, training, and developing the next generation of women football stars, and this tournament plays a crucial role in that journey.

The tournament is scheduled to kick off on Monday, October 6th, and conclude on Saturday, October 11th, 2025.
