Chairman of the Eastern Regional Football Association, Linford Asamoah Boadu, has actively taken part in the ongoing Ghana Football Association (GFA) License D Coaching Course being held in the region.

The course, currently underway at the Koforidua Sports Stadium, is part of the GFA’s broader strategy to enhance technical capacity at the grassroots level by providing formal training to colts club coaches across the country — entirely free of charge.

Mr. Asamoah Boadu, who has enrolled in the course, commended the GFA’s initiative and encouraged all coaches present to take full advantage of the knowledge being shared. “As leaders, we must lead by example. Coaching education is the foundation of football development, and I am proud to be part of this,” he said.

His participation served as a morale booster for the 30 coaches enrolled in the course, many of whom expressed appreciation for the chairman’s gesture. The course includes both theoretical and practical modules, covering essential topics such as grassroots coaching techniques, player development, and child safeguarding.

This is the second time the Eastern Region is hosting the GFA License D program, following a successful edition last year. The initiative aligns with the GFA’s vision of raising the standard of coaching at the grassroots and creating a structured pathway for young talent.

The course continues through July 17, with GFA-certified instructors taking participants through rigorous training designed to build a solid coaching foundation across all districts in the region.
