Dominik Szoboszlai has suggested Liverpool’s players may have to start going to ground to win penalties after Alexander Isak was denied a spot kick in Sunday’s 1-0 defeat by Arsenal at Anfield.
The controversial incident happened in the 21st minute, with the Reds already trailing to Kai Havertz’s 16th-minute opener. Isak attacked Bradley Barcola’s cross and had his shirt pulled by Jurrien Timber, but the Liverpool striker stayed on his feet. Referee Andy Madley waved play on, and Stuart Attwell, on VAR duty, decided the contact was not enough to overturn the on-field call.
