Real Madrid ace Kylian Mbappe has hit out at a journalist who told him he had a blank season at the Santiago Bernabeu. The journalist made the comparison with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Mbappe’s former team that won the treble in the 2024-25 season.

Mbappe’s press conference ahead of the UEFA Nations League third-place match was reported via RMC Sport, with the 26-year-old fielding questions on his club. The former PSG man pointed out that while they missed out on a number of important trophies, he has enjoyed a rewarding year in Spain.

In his first season at Real Madrid, Mbappe enjoyed great individual success as he beat Robert Lewandowski to the Pichichi, awarded to the top scorer in LaLiga. He also won the European Golden Boot for the first time in his career, having never done so at PSG or Monaco.

Kylian Mbappe won the UEFA Super Cup on his debut for Los Blancos and went on to win the FIFA Intercontinental Cup, as well. With Xabi Alonso now at the helm, the France international will hope to taste success, starting with the FIFA Club World Cup this month.

Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe has spoken out about his exit from French giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) after their successful season. The 26-year-old spent seven years in the French capital, becoming the highest goalscorer in the club’s history with 256 goals.

Kylian Mbappe fielded questions from the press ahead of Sunday’s UEFA Nations League third-place playoff against Germany. He pointed out that his time in Paris was at its end, hence his decision to leave, and that he did not leave the club too soon.

He said (via RMC Sport);

PSG won the UEFA Champions League for the first time in their history this season, ending their years of pining for the trophy. Mbappe was part of their team that lost the final to Bayern Munich in 2020, and will now have to try to win the competition with Real Madrid.
