Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will lock horns against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Match 7 of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium on Friday, April 3.

CSK will be looking to get their first win on the board after suffering defeat at the hands of the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Guwahati. The five-time champions were never really in the game, losing early wickets, which restricted them from putting a competitive total on the board. Jamie Overton was the only scorer of note, hitting 43 from 36 balls to take the total to 127. In reply, RR chased down the total in just 12.1 overs, mainly thanks to Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s 17-ball 52.

PBKS, on the other hand, had a very strong outing against the Gujarat Titans (GT) in their first game of the new season. Despite a close-fought three-wicket victory, they showed enough promise to be optimistic for the rest of the campaign. Cooper Connolly was the star on his IPL debut, scoring 72 not out to take his side to their first two points of 2026. In the bowling department, Vijaykumar Vyshak took three wickets while Yuzvendra Chahal took two, restricting the free-scoring GT side to just 162 in the first innings.

Both CSK and PBKS have a bunch of experienced T20 players in their ranks. The prominence of T20 cricket and the IPL has increased exponentially over the past decade, making it extremely likely for these players to achieve a personal landmark in the shortest format of the game.

Here are the important upcoming milestones for players of both teams:
