Al-Nassr are reportedly interested in signing Bayern Munich’s Kim Min-jae this summer. According to Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna (via Transfer News Live on X), the South Korean defender is also keen on joining Cristiano Ronaldo’s side.
The Knights of Najd are keen on making reinforcements in the team as they finished third in the Saudi Pro League and failed to win silverware in any other competition. They were eliminated in the King’s Cup Round of 16 against Al-Taawoun, while they lost to Al-Hilal 4-1 in the Super Cup final.
Al-Nassr’s AFC Champions League campaign also ended after they lost to Kawasaki Frontale 3-2 in the semi-finals. After a disappointing 2024-25 campaign, the Knights of Najd aim to fill the gaps in their defense, and they see Kim Min-jae as a potential candidate.
The 28-year-old joined Bayern Munich from Napoli in July 2023. Since then, he has made 79 appearances for the Bavarians across all competitions and has become the side’s first-choice centre-back.
According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, his contract with Bayern will expire in the summer of 2028, but the Bundesliga giants will let him leave if they receive a suitable offer. They would look forward to reinvesting the transfer fee in a new defender.
Min-jae has won the Scudetto with Napoli and the Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich. However, he’s yet to achieve glory at a European competition.
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes.net (via the Hard Tackle), Cristiano Ronaldo wants Al-Nassr to sign Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho this summer. The Argentine attacker joined the Red Devils in December 2020 from Atlético Madrid.
Starting in the youth team, Garnacho made his senior debut for United in April 2022. Once seen as a promising talent, the 20-year-old is currently nearing a departure from Manchester amid growing tensions with head coach Ruben Amorim.
Garnacho, who shared the dressing room at Old Trafford with Cristiano Ronaldo, can reunite with the Portuguese attacker this summer. The Knights of Najd were interested in signing Liverpool’s Luis Diaz; however, a deal for the Colombian winger seems unlikely.
Serie A champions Napoli have also had a longstanding interest in the Argentine attacker.
