The Competitions Department wishes to extend our deepest appreciation to each and every one of you (Division One League Clubs) for your dedication, discipline, and passion throughout the just-ended 2024/25 DOL season.

From the very first whistle to the final Matchday, your efforts made this season one of the most competitive, exciting, and unforgettable in recent years. Your professionalism and commitment have truly raised the standard of the league, and we are grateful for the role you have all played in making it a success.

A special congratulations to our zonal champions Techiman Eleven Wonders (Zone One), Swedru All Blacks United Football Club (Zone Two), and Hohoe United Football Club (Zone Three) on earning promotion to the Ghana Premier League. This is a well-deserved reward for your hard work, and we wish you the very best in the topflight.

We also proudly celebrate Golden Kick SC for making history by reaching the final of the MTN FA Cup. Your remarkable journey captured the spirit of resilience and ambition that defines Division One football, and you’ve made all of us incredibly proud.

To our relegated teams, while the outcome may not have been what you hoped for, we recognize the hard work, sacrifices, and effort that went into your season. Relegation is never easy, but it is not the end as it is a new chapter and a chance to regroup, rebuild, and come back stronger. Thank you for being part of the 2024/25 season. We look forward to seeing your continued growth and return to the Division One League in the near future.

As we enter the short break announced by the GFA, we encourage all clubs to use this time not only to rest and recharge, but also to prepare. Let’s take the opportunity to assess our facilities, address key areas, and ensure everything is in top shape for inspection and readiness ahead of the new season.

We also want to extend our sincere thanks to our headline sponsor, Access Bank, whose unwavering support throughout the season has been vital to the growth and visibility of the Division One League. Your investment has helped develop young talents, empowered clubs, and brought our game closer to communities across the country. We are excited about what we can achieve together in the seasons to come.

In addition, we say a special thank you to Globe TV for their exceptional effort in broadcasting live matches in Zone One. Your commitment to showcasing our league to a wider audience has not only given fans greater access but also enhanced the profile and exposure of the teams and players in that zone.

Thank you once again to all clubs, partners, and stakeholders. Let’s return stronger, more united, and ready to take Ghana football to even greater heights.

With appreciation,

Competitions Department
