We have intensified our efforts in promoting safeguarding and integrity across grassroots football through two impactful training sessions held in the Eastern Region.

As part of the introduced Free GFA License D Coaching Course for Colts team coaches and the 7th Batch of the License D Coaching Course, coaches received comprehensive education on child protection, integrity in football, and the growing threat of player trafficking.

The sessions were led by Safeguarding Officer, Obed Tuffour, who emphasized the critical role coaches play in creating a safe and ethical football environment for young players.

Participants were taken through real-life scenarios, practical safeguarding measures, and reporting mechanisms. Discussions also focused on football-related exploitation and the proactive steps being taken under CAF’s anti-player trafficking framework.

We as an association will continue to embed safeguarding and integrity education as a core component of its coach education pathway, in line with FIFA and CAF directives.
