India’s PV Sindhu, on Thursday, raised concerns after the way matches are scheduled during BWF World Tour events after her Round of 16 exit at the 2026 China Open Super 1000.

Sindhu, who only had 16 hours of recovery period after her first round match, went up against China’s Chen Yu Fei in the Round of 16.

Chen, who was the home favourite, meanwhile had a day-off after her first round match before her clash against Sindhu.

“About 16 hours for me between matches,” wrote Sindhu in a social media post.

“24+ hours for my dear friend Chen tomorrow after having a full day off before facing me today,” she added.

Lovely to see recovery being given the importance it deserves. Funny how schedules have a way of taking care of recovery. I only wish they took… pic.twitter.com/rngGX7zfCA

Chen has a more than 24 hours rest before she takes on Ratchanok Intanon of Thailand in the quarter-finals on Friday after her win over Sindhu.

“Lovely to see recovery being given the importance it deserves,” Sindhu further wrote.

“Funny how schedules have a way of taking care of recovery. I only wish they took care of everyone the same way,” she further added sarcastically.
