Brief Scores: White Rock Warriors 88/6 (10) lost to Brampton Blitz 90/7 (9) by 3 wickets; Montreal Royal Tigers 94/9 (10) lost to Toronto Sixers 110/7 (10) by 16 runs; Vancouver Kings 135/1 (10) lost to Mississauga Masters 141/5 (9.3) by 5 wickets.

Canada Super 60 Season 2 began at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver on September 29, 2026, with the six-day tournament running through October 4, 2026. The competition features six men’s franchise teams competing in T10 format across 24 matches, making it one of the most compact and high-intensity cricket events on the Canadian calendar.

September 30, 2026 served as the first full day of action, producing three men’s results and a women’s fixture. Defending champions Brampton Blitz, Toronto Sixers and Mississauga Masters each claimed opening-day victories, while Nicholas Pooran and David Wiese were among the most prominent performers across the programme.

What were the results and standout performances in the three men’s matches?

Brampton Blitz launched their title defence with a three-wicket win over White Rock Warriors. The Warriors set a total of 89, and the Blitz reached 90 for 7 inside nine overs to secure the points in a tight contest.

Toronto Sixers then beat Montreal Royal Tigers by 16 runs in the second fixture of the day. The Sixers posted 110 for 7, and the Tigers were dismissed for 94 for 9 in their reply. Pooran was the central figure with the bat, striking 64 off 33 balls and clearing the boundary seven times. The Sixers’ squad also included Kieron Pollard, Andre Russell and Chris Lynn, underlining the franchise’s international depth.

In the final men’s match of the day, Mississauga Masters chased down a target of 136 set by Vancouver Kings, reaching 141 for 5 in 9.3 overs to win by five wickets. Wiese was part of a Masters lineup that also featured Sikandar Raza and Colin Munro. The six men’s franchises in Season 2 are Brampton Blitz, Toronto Sixers, Mississauga Masters, Montreal Royal Tigers, Vancouver Anchors and White Rock Warriors.

How did the women’s competition begin, and what entertainment accompanied opening day?

Vancouver Warriors Women got the women’s competition off to a commanding start, defeating Toronto Sixers Women by seven wickets on September 30, 2026. The home side’s victory gave the local crowd an additional reason to celebrate on the first full day of the tournament.

The women’s competition carries considerable international star power, with Marizanne Kapp, Fatima Sana and Bess Heath among the players involved, giving the event a strong global dimension alongside the men’s programme.

Away from the cricket, BC Place hosted entertainment as part of the opening-day experience. Punjabi artist Josh Brar took to the stage during the day’s proceedings, with Crash Adams also scheduled to perform on September 30, 2026, as part of the tournament’s broader entertainment offering.
