Mississauga Masters, Toronto Sixers and Vancouver Anchors each secured victories across the men’s schedule, while Vancouver Warriors Women also won the day’s women’s fixture.

The four results were confirmed at BC Place, with all three men’s matches producing contrasting finishes. Vancouver Anchors won by six wickets, Toronto Sixers by five wickets and Mississauga Masters by the narrowest margin of two runs.

How did Vancouver Anchors and Toronto Sixers win their matches?

Vancouver Anchors were the first men’s side to win on the day, bowling Brampton Blitz out for 84/9 in their 10 overs before chasing down the target in 8.4 overs, finishing on 90/4. Moeen led the reply with 37 not out from 18 balls, striking one four and four sixes at a strike rate of 205.56. Obus Pienaar contributed 22 from 13 balls in support. The bowling effort was equally impressive, with Lewis Gregory returning figures of 4/13 from two overs, while Martin Andersson and Akhil Kumar each took two wickets.

Pooran anchored Toronto’s reply with 40 from 16 balls at a strike rate of 250, hitting five sixes. Kieron Pollard added 22 off nine balls, and Daniel Sams finished unbeaten on 27 off 10, including four sixes. Sams also contributed with the ball, taking 2/26.

How did Mississauga Masters edge Montreal Royal Tigers, and what happened in the women’s match?

Mississauga Masters produced the day’s closest contest, posting 125/2 before holding Montreal Royal Tigers to 123/4 to win by two runs. Raza was the key contributor with the bat, reaching his fifty off just 24 balls as the Masters set a total that Montreal could not quite overhaul. The result left Mississauga unbeaten after their opening two men’s matches in the league phase.

Earlier in the day, the women’s fixture saw Vancouver Warriors Women beat Vancouver Anchors Women by eight wickets. Anchors Women posted 81/4 in 10 overs, with Fatima Sana Khan top-scoring on 49 from 31 balls, including five fours and three sixes. Sophie Reid then led the Warriors’ chase with an unbeaten 37 from 16 balls, and Marizanne Kapp added 14 not out from seven, as Warriors reached 82/2 in 7.4 overs.
