Spanish journalist Edu Aguirre claimed that Jesus betrayed Cristiano Ronaldo’s trust in the wake of the game against Norway, where the star striker was left on the bench. Jesus and Portuguese Football Federation president Pedro Proenca held talks with the player, and the head coach agreed to publicly own his mistake, before changing his stance in the press conference.
