The Black Maidens delivered an emphatic performance on Thursday, thrashing Accryton Ladies 7-0 in a preparatory friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium as the team stepped up preparations for the decisive FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Senegal.
Accrington Stanley Football Club, a women’s division side based in the United Kingdom are on a training tour in Ghana and the friendly was part of coach Joe Nana Adarkwa’s final plans ahead of Saturday’s crucial return leg.
The Black Maidens dominated proceedings from start to finish, producing an attacking masterclass while remaining solid at the back.
The seven-goal victory also depicts the team’s sharpness and growing confidence as we continue the build-up to the all-important fixture.
