The Football Association  is proud to announce that the national eFootball team, the Black Asteroids, will represent Ghana in the highly anticipated FIFAe Nations League 2026.  This is one of two stages of the qualifiers to the FIFAe World Cup 2026.

The qualifiers mark an important step on the road to the FIFAe World Cup 2026. The journey to the FIFAe World Cup 2026™ ft. eFootball™ Console kicks off on the 14th April 2026 Where the Black Asteroids will battle it out with DR Congo, Libya, South Sudan
and Seychelles in Group C in Match week 1. Information on Fixtures on Match week 2 and 3 will be communicated in due course.

National teams will compete fully online across three qualifying-weeks within their respective regions. In each qualifying-week, teams earn Consistency Points (CP) based on the results of the Group Stages and Knockout Stages.

At the end of the FIFAe Nations League, the national teams can qualify for their respective FIFAe Continental Championships through two pathways: by accumulating the highest consistency points across all three qualifying weeks, or by securing a direct slot as one of the top
-performing nations in Week 3, continuing their journey towards the FIFAe World Cup 2026™.

The FIFAe Continental Championships represent the final step on the road to the FIFAe World Cup 2026™, bringing together the strongest teams from each region. Here, competition reaches its peak as nations battle not only for qualification to the FIFAe World Cup 2026™, but also for the title of the first ever FIFAe Continental Champions. More information and details on competition format, schedules, and qualification spots per region of the FIFAe Continental Championships will be published soon.

Competing in the eFootball Console category, the Black Asteroids currently ranked 24th in the World in the console Category are ready to showcase their skill, resilience, and teamwork as they face off against some of the best eFootball nations across Africa.

In line with its commitment to digital innovation and the growth of eFootball, the GFA is also pleased to announce a new partnership with the National Information Technology Agency (NITA), as the Black Asteroids No. 1 Internet Service Provider. This partnership will play a
crucial role in strengthening the digital infrastructure required for competitive online gaming, ensuring stable, high-speed connectivity and the best latency in gaming in the country for the Black Asteroids as they compete on the international stage.

“The Black Asteroids embody the future of Ghanaian football in the digital space. Their participation in the FIFAe Regional Online Qualifiers is a reflection of our belief in the potential of eFootball to project Ghana onto the global stage.

We are proud of their journey and confident they will make the nation proud.”

The GFA invites all Ghanaians and efootball fans to rally behind the Black Asteroids as they chase continental and global glory. The Black Asteroids fixtures will be broadcasted live on the GFA youtube channel Starting from the 14th of April 2026.
