Benjamin Asare of Accra Hearts of Oak has bagged the Goalkeeper of the Month award for September in the Ghana Premier League. He’s had an incredible month, keeping three clean sheets in three league matches, which is the highest among all nominees.

This impressive performance helped Hearts of Oak achieve two wins and one draw, with the team scoring two goals and conceding none throughout September.
Asare beat out strong contenders like Abdul Ganiu of Karela United, Lawrence Osei of Heart of Lions, and Kwame Aziz of Vision FC to claim the award.

His standout reflexes and commanding presence between the posts have been key to Hearts of Oak’s current 5th position on the league table.
As a prize, Asare will receive a package from the Ex-Goalkeepers Union, which includes, a pair of gloves, a branded towel, Water bottles and a T-shirt.
Asare’s form has also earned him recognition at the national level, with Otto Addo declaring him Ghana’s first-choice goalkeeper following impressive performances in World Cup qualifiers.
