Barcelona congratulated Lionel Messi on Friday after their former captain received the 2026 Princess of Asturias Award for Sports in Oviedo, praising the “inseparable bond” between the player and the club.
Messi, 39, collected it from Princess Leonor at the Teatro Campoamor, at a ceremony presided over by King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia. His wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, watched on from the audience.
