Arsenal triumph over Barcelona to win the women’s UCL title

Arsenal women team won this year Women’s UEFA Champions League title making the second European title in their history. They made history as they came on top over the mighty Barcelona women in the final of the competition. The game us set to be an exciting one as both teams are in the top of their forms with their key players. Turning the game into an exciting one to watch for. The Gunners were the most dominant team in the match. As they showed discipline and courage for winning the match. As they played brilliantly and defeated them. Bringing the European glory back to the North London for only the second time in their history. The women team for the Gunners are displaying their top performance in all sets of the game they play for.

Since the start of the game from the first whistle. The Gunners were the first to press and looked confident on the ball. Maintaining a fairly high line and pressing high, closing down any spaces, passing the ball quickly to create spaces in the attacking third. The Catalans known for their football based on possession in the world. Were under the pressure of the Gunners fast attacking gameplay. But the first real chance came for the Catalans in the 7and 10 minutes where they missed the goal in the inches. The Gunners kept themselves and gave a high press to the Barcelona back line causing an own goal but VAR turned it for offside. But the only goal came for the Gunners came in the 74th minute from a deflected corner ball which came to Stina Blackstenius where she scored it with a cool finish.

Many big players came forward and stepped up for the Gunners in the final of UWCL. Stina Blackstenius was their big women for the match as her only goal was the difference between both the teams. Kim Little also showed her experience in the midfield for the Gunners. In the defense Leah Williamson and Lotte Wubben Moy were solid as rock at the backline. Young talents like Frida Maanum also gave a lot of energy in the pitch. This game was the perfect plan for manager Jonas as due to her tactics and discipline the Gunners were able to defeat the former champions of the competition.

This victory for the Gunners women’s team won them their second UWCL title. As they won the first won in 2007.Their journey was not easy this time. Beating tough teams like Lyon, Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg. With years of struggles and fights and rebuild the team finally won the title after 18years since the first one. The celebrations were emotional for both the players and loyal fans of the club as they lifted the trophy.

The Gunners showed how hard work can lead to success. With the Gunners winning the UWCL title highlighting that the English women’s teams can also compete in the big stages of European football. Beating teams like Barcelona and Lyon are no joke it is not a small achievement. This win proves they are back to being the Europe’s best women team in the continent.
