As this season 2024-25 ends for the Gunners with a bit of progress but disappointment at the end. Arsenal have no time to waste and right into work in terms of building their squad for the future. As they set their eyes for the upcoming challenges for the next season. In a major decision that manager Mikel Arteta has set for this exit as a part of their long term project. The Gunners have confirmed the exit of 20 players including like Jorginho and Kieran Tierney from the squad. This move is seen as a big move for the Gunners as they look to upgrade their squad to a new level for the next season. Letting some of these players go is a necessary step as they set to bring in new players for the next seasons. This will give them a major boost for the next season.

Jorginho the 33-year-old Italian midfielder departs from the Emirates having played for 2 seasons with them. Coming from the Blues in London in 2023. He made a vital impact for the Gunners midfield in the season for the Premier League title. His time at Arsenal he made a total of 78 appearances for them in these two seasons. However not being a regular starter under Arteta he had a lot of influence off the bench and in terms of controlling the game. But less game was a problem for the players side and for experience. The club agreed to mutually terminate his contract set to expire in the month of June of 2025. The player has now signed for the Brazilian side Flamengo one of the biggest clubs in South America. Where he will play the FIFA Club World Cup.

Kieran Tierney’s journey at the Gunners has come to also an end. After a run of highs and lows with the club. The Scottish international who joined the Gunners in 2019 from Celtic and quickly became a fan favorite. With a total 144 appearances for the club and also part of the Gunners squad who won the 2020 FA Cup. But injuries and arrival of new young better players like Zinchenko for the same role gave him limited role. In the 2023-24 season he went on a loan spell to Real Sociedad. He played an impressive season but failed to secure a move. As the Gunners are now not wanting to renew his contract which is set to end, he will now return back to Celtic. With proper experience he is expected to directly play in the starting 11 and take the leadership roles.

Despite the departure of many experiences alongside younger players. The Gunners movement in the transfer in order to get many new players in their ranks. The club has already secured the services of Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad. Also looking to add new attacking options with players like Gyökeres and Šeško on their list.

The release of players like Jorginho and Tierney with several promising players may seem harsh. But reflects the future plan for the Gunners in the next season. Eager to win a major trophy for the fans and keep the hope alive for the North Londoners. With the players exit it sets up doors for the new players to come to the Gunners.
