Anushka Sharma did the ‘money splashing’ gesture after husband Virat Kohli hit a six off Prasidh Krishna in the Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s clash against the Gujarat Titans at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. However, after noticing that the camera was on her, she looked a little embarrassed. The popular Bollywood actress had covered a sheepish grin with her hand.

Kohli hit eight fours and four sixes in his match-winning innings of 81 runs off 44 balls. He finished with a strike rate of 184.09. Before being dismissed by Jason Holder in the 14th over of the second innings, Kohli hit a glorious six, which had Anushka doing the ‘money splashing’ gesture.

Kohli takes the lead in the Orange Cap race

The 37-year-old surpassed Abhishek Sharma’s total of runs, finishing with 328 runs in seven innings. He is averaging 54.67 and has a strike rate of 163.19. On Friday, April 29, he notched up his third half-century of the season.

His exemplary knock of 81 runs helped the home side chase down a challenging 206-run target with five wickets and seven balls to spare. However, Devdutt Padikkal also deserves special praise for his knock of 55 runs off 27 balls, walking out to bat at No. 3.

While Rajat Patidar and Jitesh Sharma were dismissed cheaply, Krunal Pandya smashed an unbeaten 23 off 12 balls, hitting three fours and one six.

With this win, the Royal Challengers moved to No. 2 on the points table, only behind the Punjab Kings. They have five wins from seven games and lost two. They are set to face the Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Monday, April 27.
