Annabel Sutherland moved one place up to fourth in the ICC Women’s ODI bowlers’ rankings after Australia’s three-match series against Bangladesh, while Megan Schutt climbed two spots to reach fifth. The updated rankings, released on October 13, 2026, captured performances from the first two matches of that series.
Australia secured both completed matches, building an unassailable 2-0 lead before the third game was played. Schutt was the standout bowler across the two fixtures, claiming 2 for 19 in the first ODI and then returning figures of 4 for 36 in the second. Sutherland was equally influential, picking up 4 for 30 with the ball in the first match and contributing an unbeaten 25 with the bat in the second.
Alana King continues to hold the top position in the ICC Women’s ODI bowlers’ rankings, with Sutherland and Schutt now placed fourth and fifth respectively behind her.
How did the series affect Sutherland’s all-round rankings?
Sutherland’s contributions across both disciplines earned her movement in two separate ranking lists. Alongside her rise to fourth among ODI bowlers, she advanced three places to 17th in the ICC Women’s ODI batters’ rankings, a reflection of her consistent output with bat and ball throughout the series against Bangladesh.

Ellyse Perry also gained ground in the batting list, rising two places to 10th on the back of two successive unbeaten innings during the series. Georgia Voll made her presence felt as well, moving up to 28th in the ICC Women’s ODI batters’ rankings after registering a century across the fixtures. The series therefore produced ranking gains for three Australian batters in addition to the two bowling movements.
What milestone did Stafanie Taylor reach in T20Is?
Elsewhere, West Indies wrapped up a 3-0 series victory over Zimbabwe in T20I cricket, and the results triggered notable ranking movement for Stafanie Taylor. Across the three matches, Taylor accumulated 74 runs, highlighted by an unbeaten 64 off 39 balls, and also claimed three wickets with the ball.
Those performances lifted Taylor to 40th in the ICC Women’s T20I batters’ rankings and 39th in the all-rounders’ list. Beyond the ranking shifts, Taylor achieved a landmark that places her among the most accomplished players in the format’s history: she became only the fourth woman ever to complete the double of 3,000 runs and 100 wickets in T20I cricket, a combination of sustained batting and bowling excellence across an extended international career.
