Black Stars Team Manager Ameenu Shardow has successfully completed the inaugural FIFA Executive Programme designed for National Team Managers across Africa.

The pioneering three-day training seminar, held in Rabat, brought together over 30 representatives from African member associations, creating a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration and capacity building at the highest level of the game.

Organized by FIFA through its FIFA Campus initiative in partnership with the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES), the programme delivered a comprehensive curriculum tailored to the evolving demands of national team management.

Participants engaged in a wide range of critical modules, including the management of national team operations and resources, risk and crisis management, effective utilization of FIFA Forward funds, the FIFA Series framework, and key principles of budget formulation, control and implementation.

The course was led by Solomon Mudege, FIFA’s Head of Development Programmes for Africa, alongside expert facilitators David Grosvenier and Damien Mollard, who guided participants through practical sessions and real-world case studies.

Beyond technical knowledge, the seminar provided a valuable networking opportunity, enabling national team managers to share experiences, exchange best practices, and build lasting professional relationships across the continent.

At the conclusion of the programme, participants were awarded certificates and encouraged to apply their newly acquired expertise to enhance national team operations—particularly as African nations intensify preparations for the upcoming FIFA World Cup to be hosted in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
