Ahead of the latest round of Premier League fixtures, here is all the key injury news alongside essential Fantasy Premier League statistics.

The gameweek kicks off with third-placed Aston Villa at home to Nottingham Forest at Saturday lunchtime (12:30 GMT) – here is the full fixture list.

Aston Villa pair Boubacar Kamara and Matty Cash are available after serving one-match bans.

However, Amadou Onana faces an absence of several weeks, while new signing Alysson will not be involved on Saturday.

Ola Aina is in contention for Nottingham Forest for the first time since suffering a hamstring injury while playing for Nigeria in early September.

Winger Dan Ndoye has a minor calf injury, with head coach Sean Dyche saying: “It will be touch and go for him this weekend but hopefully he will return after that.”

Players out: Aston Villa – Alysson, Barkley, Guessand, Mings, Onana, Torres Nottingham Forest – Boly, Sangare, Wood, Yates

Doubt: Nottingham Forest – Ndoye

Key FPL notes:

  • Morgan Rogers’ (£7.5m) 35 shots and 19 chances created are both among Aston Villa’s top two player this season.

  • Villa’s Ollie Watkins (£8.5m) has blanked just once in his last six matches, a period which has seen him produce five goals, two assists and 42 points.

  • Igor Jesus (£5.8m) of Nottingham Forest has registered 36 shots in the box in 2025-26, a total that only Erling Haaland (£15.1m) and Jean-Philippe Mateta (£7.6m) can better.

Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh is expected to be available despite limping off with a dead leg against West Ham in midweek.

Mats Wieffer remains sidelined because of a toe issue.

Burnley are missing 10 players, with Maxime Esteve not risked after only lasting 15 minutes of his comeback match on Tuesday.

Captain Josh Cullen will miss the remainder of the season with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Players out: Brighton – Baleba, March, Tzimas, Webster, Wieffer Burnley – Amdouni, Beyer, Cullen, Esteve, Flemming, Foster, Mejbri, Roberts, Tuanzebe, Worrall

Key FPL notes:

  • Brighton player Ferdi Kadioglu’s (£4.4m) set-piece ability could cause major problems for Burnley in gameweek 20. The Clarets rank among the worst four sides for conceding shots from dead-ball situations this season.

  • Lewis Dunk (£4.5m) could also profit from that weakness. The centre-back has the joint-most headed attempts (five) of all Brighton players this season.

  • Not content with an assist, Armando Broja (£5.2m) of Burnley became only the second forward to secure defensive contribution points in gameweek 19.

Wolves midfielder Andre is available after serving a one-match suspension.

In a further boost for the hosts, defender Santi Bueno has overcome the dead leg which caused him to miss the midweek 1-1 draw at Manchester United.

West Ham will assess the fitness of French centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo, who suffered a groin injury early in the second half of Tuesday’s 2-2 draw with Brighton.

On-loan defender Igor Julio is available again after being ineligible to face his parent club in midweek.

Players out: Wolves – Agbadou, Bellegarde, Chiwome, Munetsi, Rodrigo Gomes, Toti Gomes West Ham – Diouf, Fabianski, Fullkrug, Wan-Bissaka

Doubts: West Ham – Todibo

Key FPL notes:

  • Wolves’ Ladislav Krejci (£4.5m) produced his third attacking return of the season in gameweek 19, earning eight points at Old Trafford.

  • Jarrod Bowen’s (£7.6m) last six appearances for West Ham have harvested three goals, one assist and 32 points.

  • Lucas Paqueta’s (£5.9m) 23 chances created and six big chances created are both team-leading totals for West Ham.

Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola is hopeful that Lewis Cook could be fit to face Arsenal after missing the draw against Chelsea because of a neck issue.

Ryan Christie remains sidelined with a persistent knee problem.

Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice missed Tuesday’s 4-1 victory over Aston Villa with inflammation in his knee but he will train on Friday before a decision is made on his availability.

Defenders Riccardo Calafiori and Cristhian Mosquera remain out.

Players out: Bournemouth – Adams, Christie, Gannon-Doak, Milosavljevic Arsenal – Calafiori, Dowman, Mosquera

Doubts: Bournemouth – Cook Arsenal – Rice

Key FPL notes:

  • David Brooks (£5.0m) of Bournemouth has been presented with eight Opta-defined ‘big chances’ in the last four gameweeks, the most of any player.

  • Arsenal’s Gabriel Magalhaes (£6.4m) marked his first start since returning from injury with a 15-point haul against Villa. The Brazilian has blanked in only four of his 13 appearances this season.

  • Martin Odegaard’s (£7.8m) 20 chances created over the last six gameweeks is more than any other player in Fantasy.

Leeds captain Ethan Ampadu must serve a one-match ban on Sunday for accumulating five bookings this season.

Sebastian Bornauw and Ilia Gruev both came off with cramp against Liverpool on Thursday night and should be fit to face Manchester United.

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim expects to have an unchanged squad, with five players still injured and another three at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Players out: Leeds – Ampadu, James, Longstaff, Rodon Manchester United – Amad, De Ligt, Fernandes, Maguire, Mainoo, Mazraoui, Mbeumo, Mount

Key FPL notes:

  • Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£5.9m) of Leeds has returned in each of his last three matches at Elland Road, combining four goals with six bonus to total 28 points.

  • Anton Stach (£4.9m) has an eye-catching three goals and five assists from 16 starts in 2025-26. He is Leeds’ leader for chances created (33) and successful crosses (24) across the campaign.

  • Matheus Cunha (£8.2m) has produced an attacking return in each of his last two away appearances for Man Utd, amassing 14 points.

Jack Grealish has resumed full training for Everton after overcoming illness and he could start for the first time in two weeks.

Charly Alcaraz and Michael Keane both missed the midweek away win over Nottingham Forest but the latter “has a chance” of being fit to face Brentford, according to manager David Moyes.

Brentford defender Sepp van den Berg returned to the matchday squad as an unused substitute on New Year’s Day, having missed the 4-1 victory over Bournemouth due to a minor injury.

Mathias Jensen didn’t start against Spurs on Thursday because he’d had a sickness bug.

Players out: Everton – Alcaraz, Branthwaite, Coleman, Dewsbury-Hall, Gueye, Ndiaye Brentford – Carvalho, Dasilva, Milambo, Onyeka, Ouattara

Doubts: Everton – Keane

Key FPL notes:

  • Everton’s James Garner (£5.0m) entertains Brentford on the back of 21 points in his last two appearances.

  • Everton’s clean sheet versus Nottingham Forest in gameweek 19 was the Toffees’ eighth of the season, which only Manchester City and Arsenal have bettered. James Tarkowski (£5.6m) was particularly dominant, racking up 19 defensive contributions.

  • Igor Thiago’s (£7.0m) 19 appearances for Brentford this season have served up 11 goals, one assist, 12 bonus and 91 points.

Fulham head coach Marco Silva said there is a “big possibility” midfielder Josh King will miss Sunday’s game, along with full-back Kenny Tete.

Silva added that King is feeling pain in his knee but neither player is likely to be out for an extended period.

Liverpool are managing Florian Wirtz’s workload as the German has sore hamstrings.

Defender Joe Gomez could be available to face Fulham after three weeks out.

Players out: Fulham – Bassey, Chukwueze, Iwobi, Muniz, Sessegnon Liverpool – Endo, Isak, Leoni, Salah

Doubts: Fulham – King, Tete Liverpool – Gomez

Key FPL notes:

  • Harry Wilson (£5.8m) has been a major influence on Fulham’s attack recently. The Welshman has produced eight attacking returns and 51 points in his last seven appearances.

  • Hugo Ekitike (£9.1m) of Liverpool may have blanked in gameweek 19 but he still managed four shots, taking his tally to 21 goal attempts in his past five appearances.

  • Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk (£5.9m) has racked up 12 headed attempts on goal this season, the joint-most of any defender except Pascal Struijk (£4.3m).

Newcastle expect Lewis Hall to recover in time from a knock sustained against Burnley, while three defenders could return this weekend.

Sven Botman has been training with the squad this week and Eddie Howe said full-backs Tino Livramento and Kieran Trippier are also “close” to returning, though he wouldn’t specify whether Sunday could be a possibility for either of them.

Brennan Johnson is set to be included in Crystal Palace’s squad to face Newcastle after finalising a club record £35m move from Tottenham.

However, Will Hughes could miss out with hip and thigh issues and Chris Richards is still nursing a foot problem.

Players out: Newcastle – Burn, Elanga, Krafth, Lascelles, Osula Crystal Palace – Cardines, Doucoure, Kamada, Munoz, Nketiah, Riad, Sarr

Doubt: Newcastle – Botman, Hall, Livramento, Trippier Crystal Palace – Hughes, Richards

Key FPL notes:

  • Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes (£7.0m) is the third-most-bought player in the gameweek, earning over 142,000 new owners after his 10-point haul against Burnley.

  • Anthony Gordon (£7.4m) of Newcastle has chipped in with five attacking returns in his last six outings, a period which has seen him average 5.6 points per start.

  • Palace captain Marc Guehi (£5.3m) is the joint top-scoring defender in Fantasy this season (97 points), thanks to two goals, four assists, six clean sheets, eight bonus and 14 defensive contribution points.

Tottenham midfielder Lucas Bergvall missed the goalless draw with Brentford on New Year’s Day because of a groin injury and he is a doubt to face Sunderland.

Xavi Simons serves the final game of his three-match ban, while Brennan Johnson has departed for Crystal Palace.

Sunderland will assess defender Dan Ballard, who has missed their past two fixtures with an ankle issue.

Six players for the Black Cats are still involved in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Players out: Tottenham – Bissouma, Kulusevski, Maddison, Sarr, Simons, Solanke, Udogie Sunderland – Alese, Diarra, Masuaku, Reinildo, Sadiki, Talbi, Traore

Doubts: Tottenham – Bergvall Sunderland – Ballard

Key FPL notes:

  • Micky van de Ven’s (£4.5m) last two Tottenham appearances have produced 17 points, thanks to two clean sheets, three bonus and two defensive contribution points.

  • Granit Xhaka (£5.2m) of Sunderland ranks joint-third among all players for defensive contributions in 2025-26, with 210 in total.

  • Sunderland’s Robin Roefs (£4.8m) is the top-scoring goalkeeper in FPL, collecting 90 points thanks to seven clean sheets, 17 save points and nine bonus.

Manchester City pair Nico Gonzalez and Savinho were both substituted with injuries on New Year’s Day, with manager Pep Guardiola afterwards saying it “does not look good” for the latter.

They were replaced against Sunderland by Rodri and Jeremy Doku but Guardiola admits he has to carefully handle the return to fitness of those two players.

Managerless Chelsea will assess Marc Cucurella, who missed the draw against Bournemouth last time out but has since returned to training.

Chelsea’s Under-21 head coach, Calum McFarlane, is set to take charge on Sunday following the departure of Enzo Maresca.

Players out: Manchester City – Ait-Nouri, Bobb, Kovacic, Marmoush, Savinho, Stones Chelsea – Colwill, Hato, Lavia, Essugo, Mudryk

Doubts: Manchester City – Gonzalez Chelsea – Cucurella

Key FPL notes:

  • Erling Haaland (£15.1m) returned in both his meetings with Chelsea last season, producing two goals, one assist and 19 points.

  • Rayan Cherki (£6.7m) has been directly involved in 56% of Man City’s goals when selected this season, scoring two and assisting eight.

  • Cole Palmer (£10.4m) has scored two of his three goals this season – as well as supplying an assist – in Chelsea’s last four matches.
