The Access Bank Division One League is back, and Matchdayone lived up to expectations, producing a total of 48 goals across all zones. Each zone recorded eight matches, making it 24 games in total after the opening round of fixtures. Out of the 48 goals scored, 28 were registered by home teams, while away teams accounted for 20. The league also saw a good spread of goals across both halves of matches, with 21 goals netted in the first half and 27 in the second half.

In Zone One, three teams have taken an early lead. In Zone 1A, Northern City, Tamale City, and Wa Power all secured three points from their opening fixtures to sit at the top. In Zone 1B, Victory Club Warriors, Dormaa Unity, and Legon Cities also got off to strong starts with victories, ensuring they begin the campaign with maximum points.

Zone Two equally produced impressive results, with Sefwi All Stars, PAC Academy, Sekondi Eleven Wise, FC Ashanti Gold, and Ebony FC all winning their opening matches. Their victories placed them among the early pacesetters in what promises to be a competitive zone.

Zone Three was no different, as Na God FC, Hakla FC, Port City, Okwawu United, and Home Stars all claimed three points apiece to start their campaigns on a positive note.

The statistics underline the excitement, with nearly half of the goals coming in the second half, showing how games grew more intense as they progressed. With 24 matches already played, 48 goals scored, and several clubs across all zones setting the pace early, the stage is well set for an intriguing season ahead.
