Major League Soccer has described Lionel Messi’s 83rd-minute winner for Inter Miami against the New England Revolution as “pure cinema”. The win lifted the Herons to second-place in the Eastern Conference table.
The goal deserved the billing from MLS. Lionel Messi collected a loose ball about 30 yards out, turned away from the defenders closing on him and drove into the box, where Telasco Segovia’s return pass put the ball back onto his left foot.
