Mumbai Indians Women knew they did not have many players to look after in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2027 Auction, given the purse of 90 lakh that they had entered with. This was also the lowest purse among all five teams for this year’s auction, but the franchise spent it wisely to make useful additions to its squad. For the unversed, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side has won the league twice, with their first victory coming in the inaugural 2023 season and the second in 2025.Â
