Barcelona have been handed a €602 fine after Atletico Madrid complained about their approach to signing Julián Alvarez. Rojiblancos also complained to FIFA, who quickly distanced themselves, saying they have no jurisdiction over the case.
Alvarez was keen on leaving Atletico Madrid in the summer, and had set his sights on a move to Barcelona. The Argentine had publicly confirmed that he was interested in making a switch, while Rojiblancos were determined not to sell him to their rivals.
