Real Madrid will be without first-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois for tonight’s Clásico against Barcelona after the club announced on Sunday that he had withdrawn from the squad because of the flu. The LaLiga matchday 10 fixture kicks off at 21:00 local time at Spotify Camp Nou.
The club said in a statement that Courtois was out with a flu-like illness, and that Illia Voloshyn, a goalkeeper from Real Madrid C, had taken his place in the squad for the match. Andriy Lunin is expected to start in goal for Madrid, in what would be the Ukrainian international’s first appearance of the season.
