Wales midfielder Jordan James has warned Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal that his side have a ‘puncher’s chance’ of causing an upset in their upcoming UEFA Nations League clash. Ronaldo is expected to feature for A Selecao in their Nations League opener on Thursday, September 24.
Portugal are the heavy favorites to pick up the three points, having won the 2024-25 Nations League with an impressive win over World Cup winners Spain in the final on penalties. On the other hand, Wales have been promoted to League A after topping their group in League B, ahead of Turkey, Iceland and Montenegro.
