The year 2026 has witnessed the retirement of several notable names from international and domestic cricket. While some players called time on their careers after years at the highest level, others stepped away from the game following changes in form, fitness, selection, or their decision to pursue opportunities outside international cricket.
Unlike the wave of retirements that often follows major ICC tournaments, the retirements in 2026 have come at different stages of the calendar. Several experienced cricketers have brought the curtains down on their careers, marking the beginning of a new phase for their respective teams.
