AshantiGold FC attacker David Gyamfi Junior has been adjudged the Man of the Match following his side’s goalless draw against Semper Fi in the 2026 X1 DOL Super Cup.
Despite the game ending without a goal, Gyamfi Junior delivered an outstanding performance, constantly putting pressure on the Semper Fi defence and forcing them to defend for large periods of the match at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.
The award marks Gyamfi Junior’s first Man of the Match honour in the X1 DOL Super Cup, as AshantiGold secured their first point of the competition after suffering defeat in their opening game against Nsuopon Fidelity.
AshantiGold will now turn their attention to their final Group B fixture against Tamale City as they look to secure qualification to the next round.
