Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC and MTN FA Cup winners Nations FC will discover their opponents for the 2026/27 CAF inter-club competitions when the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) conducts the preliminary round draws on Thursday, August 6, in Cairo, Egypt.
Medeama will fly Ghana’s flag in the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League after clinching the Ghana Premier League title, while Nations FC will make their continental campaign in the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup following their historic MTN FA Cup triumph.
The preliminary round draws will determine the path to the group stages of both competitions, setting the stage for another exciting season of African club football.
The TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup draw is scheduled to commence at 14:00 Cairo time (11:00 GMT), with the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League draw following an hour later at 15:00 Cairo time (12:00 GMT).

A total of 61 clubs have been entered for the 2026/27 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League, while 56 clubs will battle for continental glory in the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup.
