The Black Maidens have booked a place in the final round of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers with a convincing 2-0 victory over Liberia at the SKD Sports Complex.
Seidatu Wahab gave Ghana the lead in the 15th minute with a beautifully taken free-kick in the first half .
Juliana Gyekyewaa doubled the advantage six minutes into the second half with another superb set-piece effort.
The Maidens controlled the game for long periods and defended resolutely to secure a clean sheet and seal qualification to the final stage of the qualifiers.
Ghana will now face Senegal in the last round in July, with a place at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup at stake.
