The Black Maidens will face Liberia in the first leg of their FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.

The Maidens advanced to this stage after defeating Togo in the previous round. They host Liberia in Accra before travelling to Monrovia for the second leg next week.

Head Coach Joe Nana Adarkwah has been preparing the squad at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram. The team looked sharp and composed in training sessions this week, with Adarkwah expressing confidence ahead of the encounter.

A strong home performance will be key for Ghana before the return leg in Liberia, as the Black Maidens aim to take another step toward booking a place at the U-17 Women’s World Cup.

This match is scheduled for 3:30pm Kickoff at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

Winner over two legs advances to the next round of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
