Africa’s brightest young football talents will converge on Maputo, as the final of the prestigious schools tournament takes centre stage from April 2–10, 2026.

The Confederation of African Football’s (CAF) flagship youth competition has rapidly grown into one of the continent’s most significant grassroots platforms, and this year’s final promises another thrilling chapter.

To be hosted in Mozambique’s vibrant capital, the tournament will bring together the best school teams from across Africa, all battling for continental glory.

Since its inception, the African Schools Football Championship has played a critical role in talent identification and youth development and the last edition was hosted in Ghana.

Beyond the silverware, the tournament embodies CAF’s broader mission to invest in grassroots football and nurture the next generation of professionals.
