Premier League: Medeama sweep past Vision FC to go three points clear at the top

Medeama SC delivered a commanding performance on Friday evening, dismantling Vision FC 4–0 at the Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium to move three points clear at the top of the Premier League table.

The Mauve and Yellow struck twice in each half to record their second consecutive victory of the 2025/26 season, following last weekend’s 2–0 win at Young Apostles. The result extends their perfect start to the campaign, with six goals scored and none conceded.

Right-back Kamaradini Mamudu opened the scoring in the 18th minute, setting the tone for a dominant display. Thirteen minutes later, a defensive mix-up forced Emmanuel Sanja to put the ball into his own net, doubling Medeama’s advantage before halftime.

The hosts maintained their relentless pressure after the break. Midfielder Emmanuel Owusu capitalized on a defensive error to make it 3–0, and debutant Ibrahim Nurudeen sealed the emphatic victory with a composed finish, delighting the passionate Tarkwa crowd.

Young winger Kelvin Nkrumah was named Man of the Match after a scintillating performance that showcased his pace and creativity. Head coach Ibrahim Tanko will be encouraged by his side’s early-season form as they set their sights on a second top-flight title.

For Vision FC, who drew their opener against former champions FC Samartex 1996, the heavy defeat highlights the need for a swift response as they prepare for their next fixture.

With two wins from two matches and a three-point cushion at the summit, Medeama have sent an unmistakable message to the rest of the league: they are serious contenders for the 2025/26 Premier League crown.
