The stage is set for a mouth-watering showdown as Northern Region go head-to-head with Ashanti Region in the grand finale of the Elite U15 Boys Colts Championship at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence tomorrow morning at 8am. The two teams, who topped their respective groups, have proven to be the most consistent and dominant sides in the competition, setting up what promises to be a thrilling encounter.

Northern Region endured a shaky start to their campaign, suffering a 2-0 defeat to GFA Elite Academy Kumasi in their opening game. However, they quickly bounced back in style, beating Volta Region 2-0 in their second game before securing a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Greater Accra. Their fine form continued with a 2-0 win over Western Region and another 2-0 triumph against Upper East Region. In total, the Northern Region have scored 8 goals and conceded just 3, amassing 12 points to finish top of Group A.

Ashanti Region, on the other hand, have been near perfect. They began their campaign with a thrilling 4-2 win over Upper West Region, followed by a goalless draw with Brong Ahafo Region, which they lost on penalties (4-5) in the tie-breaking shootout. From then on, they shifted gears, demolishing GFA Elite Academy Bolga 8-0 before grinding out a 1-0 victory over Eastern Region. They wrapped up their group stage dominance with a 2-0 win over Central Region, scoring an impressive 15 goals and conceding just 5 to top Group B with 13 points.

With their free-flowing attack and solid defensive record, Ashanti Region will head into the final as slight favorites, but Northern Region’s resilience and momentum make them dangerous opponents capable of upsetting any side. Both teams have shown quality, determination, and tactical discipline throughout the tournament, raising expectations for a classic final.

Fans, scouts, and technical handlers will have their eyes firmly on the pitch tomorrow as two of Ghana’s most promising football nurseries collide for glory in this year’s Elite U15 Boys Colts Championship.
