President Simeon-Okraku motivates Black Queens ahead of TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations opener against South Africa

President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, paid a motivational visit to the Black Queens on the eve of their crucial Group C match against defending champions South Africa in the 2024 TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The visit by the CAF 2nd Vice President, which included key management members such as Rose Linnet Osei Bonsu, Nana Poku Fosu-Gyeabour II, Alhaji Salifu Zida and Director of National Teams, Alex Asante Sakyi, aimed to boost the team’s morale and inspire them to kick off their WAFCON campaign on a strong note.

During the visit, President Simeon-Okraku encouraged the players to believe in themselves, play with pride, and determination, emphasizing that the entire nation stands behind them.

He urged the squad to seize the moment on the continental stage and make Ghana proud.

With the GFA leadership’s backing, the Black Queens are poised to make a strong impression at the tournament and deliver a performance that will bring glory to Ghana.

Ghana will lock horns with South Africa at Stade D’Honneur in Oudja at 16:00GMT on Monday, July 7, 2025.
