Police National FC have been crowned champions of the Central Regional Football Association Division Two League after a dramatic final victory over Fettehman United. The intense clash, played on Wednesday, ended 1-1 in regulation time before Police National triumphed 4-3 in a tense penalty shootout.

With the win, Police National FC have secured qualification to the 2025/26 Ghana Division One League and will represent the Central Region in Zone Two of the national second-tier competition. This marks a major milestone for the club as they prepare to take their place on a bigger stage in Ghana football.

The final lived up to its billing with both sides putting on a thrilling display of skill and determination. Police National FC struck first, but Fettehman United FC fought back strongly to level the scores. Despite several close chances from both teams in the second half, neither side could find a winner, pushing the match into penalties.

In the shootout, Police National kept their composure, converting four of their spot-kicks while their goalkeeper emerged the hero with a crucial save to deny Fettehman United. The result sparked jubilant celebrations from players, officials, and their traveling supporters.

Police National’s promotion is seen as a well-earned reward for their consistency, resilience, and ambition with the Ghana Police Service celebrating the promotion on their social media handles.

This victory comes at the back of the Police Ladies team winning the Women’s Premier League a month ago, culminating into double glory for the Ghana Police Service.
