Having already secured the services of many young players before the start of next season are now eyeing Nick. With their aim for a long-term vision in their team. Nick Woltemade’s rise in the Bundesliga has come this season with VfB Stuttgart. It is one of the very underrated success stories this season. As a German, he first started at the youth ranks of Werder Bremen where he made his debut as the team’s youngest player at the age of 17. Before the 2024-25 he made a free transfer move to VfB Stuttgart. In this brilliant season, he has scored a total of 20 goals for both club and country. Recently scored a hat trick in the U21 Euros for Germany. His 5 goals in the DFB-Pokal have also helped his club win the cup after 28 long years. He has played an important role for the club in their race for European qualification. Standing at a height of 6’4 the 23-year-old forward made his debut for the German National team in the UEFA Nations League Finals.

The Blues after the arrival of their new owners BlueCo are always on the hunt for new young talents in the market. It shows in their recent buys of many young players in the market. Nick is not being much famous currently but he is one of the rising talents in the world of football. Chelsea wants to confirm the deal after the FIFA Club World Cup in order to secure the player as soon as possible. Having signed for his current club last year he has under contract with him under 2028. But the absence of a release clause in his terms gives a controlling power for Stuttgart. Reports indicate that the player might value near €25-30 million. But the sporting director for Stuttgart has dismissed all such claims of his leaving. He stated that all the players in the camp have a strong connection with each other and have not broken yet.

While many young stars are coming from the German League to the English and the Spanish League the changes might not be what is being expected. Previous German stars like Kai Havertz and Timo Werner have not got the same results at the club. But Chelsea are confident that Nick will be suitable to play in the Stamford Bridge.

With Chelsea looking to secure Nick Woltemade it shows how the Blues are looking to secure their future. The player is completely filled in with young talented players rather than old experienced ones in order to make a team secure for the future. Nick Woltemade is currently not the superstar in the game but certainly has the power to rise up to that spot one day.
