Meet Asomaniwaa Akoto Akrofi, the 7-year-old referee making waves in the football world. As a pupil at Pentecost Preparatory School, she recently officiated matches during the FIFA Women’s Football Campaign at Koforidua Technical University’s group stage.
Despite her tender age, Asomaniwaa discovered her passion for refereeing just a few months ago and has thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
She credits her brother, a football player, as her inspiration – wanting to carve out her own path in the sport. With determination and a love for the game, Asomaniwaa is poised to achieve even greater milestones in football officiating.
