The National Women’s Soccer League announced its 2025 match schedule on Monday, featuring 190 matches and an eight-team playoff, with a revised competition format for the summer.
The 2025 season will begin on March 7, for the NWSL Challenge Cup at Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando, Florida. The NWSL Challenge Cup is a meeting between the previous NWSL Shield winner and the reigning NWSL Champion. In 2024, the Orlando Pride claimed both titles, so the 2025 Challenge Cup will be a rematch of the 2024 NWSL Championship between the Orlando Pride and the Washington Spirit.
The regular NWSL season kicks off a week later on Friday, Mach 14. The regular season concludes the weekend of Oct. 31-Nov. 2. The dates for the postseason have already been determined with NWSL Playoffs slated for Nov. 7-9. The semifinals will take place on Nov. 14-16 and the 2025 NWSL Championship will be on Nov. 22. The full league schedule is in the works and will be announced once finalized.
For all the NWSL teams, the countdown is on. With the CBA rules, clubs can hold preseason camps beginning as early as Jan. 15, but no later than Feb. 5.
